Instrument leads
You play a quality guitar through boutique effects into a handmade valve amp... and your leads are all made in China! (you know what I mean). Yes, there are many good quality leads available, but also lots of over priced average / poor ones. It can be hard to know one from the other! I make leads with Switchcraft or Neutrik jacks and Van Damme cable. They are hand soldered by me. That's it... no snake oil and not rubbed on the soft inner thigh of a hereditary peer's virginal daughter!
Most USA guitars have Switchcraft sockets, so the Switchcraft plugs fit best. The Neutrik jacks are the strongest available and fit USA sockets almost as well as the Switchcraft type. Van Damme cable is considered by those who know about such things as being about as good as it gets. I also make speaker leads with Switchcraft or Neutrik jacks and Van Damme speaker cable.
Both guitar and speaker leads can be made to any length you want. You could just get a 10 foot guitar lead or a 2 foot speaker lead, or you might want to replace all of your leads (guitar to effects, effect to effect patch leads, effect to amp, amp to attenuator, attenuator to speaker). Either or both of the jacks can be 'right-angle' or 'straight'. The prices include postage to UK mainland.
