I cover all types of guitar (and bass) electrical work ranging from finding and replacing faulty components, for example a switch or socket, to totally replacing all of the wiring, pickups and switchgear. I only use top quality components on all repairs and modifications as it is a false economy to use cheap parts. I use switches and sockets by Switchcraft or CRL and pots are by CTS or another US make.

I can recommend various makes and type of pickups to suit any guitar or playing style. Dimarzio, Seymour Duncan, Fender and Gibson are obvious examples but many others are available. It is usually possible to find correctly sized pickups which makes additional routing unnecessary.

There are many useful wiring modifications (particularly for Strats and Teles), which provide extra pickup combinations without the need for extra pickups or extra switches. Some of the best of these are the little knob series of tone circuits from Rothwell Audio Products. I can supply and fit these on request. These preserve the look of your guitar and can always be put back to original spec if required.

Quite often an already good guitar can be made even better by completely overhauling the wiring. It is not unusual to find new guitars that are let down by cheap, unreliable pots, switches and sockets. Even guitars costing over £1000 can be fitted with inferior quality electrics and you may be surprised to find how much better your guitar will perform when improved in this way.
